![]() The story looks pretty generic with a bad guy trying to control the world, or resources or something. This needs attention by AI boffins immediately.Ĭustomisation may be the main selling point, but there is a point to the game and there is a story campaign which involves taking on a group called The Collective. I had the pleasure of watching harvesters wander through attacking enemy units and get completely confused about where to go when resources run out. What puzzles me is why after more than 20 years harvester AI is still utter crap. Remember the good old days of taking out the other player’s harvesters in C&C? That will be a tactic once again and they have no defences. ![]() Resource collection is once again handled by trusty harvesters. Once the game launches it’s the good old build a refinery, power plant, barracks, light vehicle factory, comm center, heavy factory, air factory, and finally superweapon sequence. Once created, the new units can be named and added to a profile for selection prior to entering a game. How this will affect matchmaking and balance is still unknown.Ĭreating a variation on a unit is simple enough, select the type of unit, the armour, and then the weaponry that will be slapped on top. The more you play the more research points are earned which means juicier weapons. There are currently four tiers but that could change based on the Early Access feedback. Units are built using the Faction Creator from the main menu and what can be equipped depends on what upgrades you have applied to the tech trees. The catch is that a player can take a maximum of four units per class into a game so deciding what to create and eventually use could make or break a game. The units are split into infantry, light vehicles, heavy vehicles, and aircraft. Players will be able to customise units prior to entering a game. The main “feature” of Forged Battalion is the unit customisation. Some RTS players may be thinking this is the same old stuff we see time and time again from Petroglyph. It was all so familiar that I didn’t even attempt the training. As soon as I fired up Forged Battalion I knew exactly what to do, what to build, and what the likely build order would be to unlock structures and units. ![]() RTS fans who have played games from the C&C series have an advantage with most Petroglyph games because the hotkeys and controls are always the same. This time it’s the game’s units and how players utilise the unit crafting/upgrade system that could help turn the tide of battle. Once again Petroglyph goes back to the typical base building RTS formula but Forged Battalion comes with a slight twist. Their C&C heritage is what brings gamers back to their games, but more often than not, RTS fans have been left slightly disappointed. There’s no doubt there’s a C&C influence, there always is when it comes toPetroglyph and it’s not surprising as the company was founded on the back of the brilliant Westwood Studios (RIP and damn you EA for what you did to C&C). Petroglyph are now working on their next game Forged Battalion after a few failed attempts with games such as Victory and the free to play Battle Battalions. Most recently Petroglyph has been releasing their 8-Bit series which was a less attractive looking C&C but fun nevertheless. Grey Goo was a slight exception and was a pretty decent RTS but it never really caught on for any length of time. Petroglyph are the RTS guys, in fact, they have a habit of churning out the same formula over and over again with a slightly different take.

![]() Incidentally, Heller re-used that Santa Maria hull several times as the basis of other kits, each of them more ridiculous looking than the last. My impression is that the Heller kit isn't significantly better - or worse - than the Revell version. I built the grand old Revell Santa Maria (vintage 1957) when it was brand new - and several times later. My general impression is that it's on about the same standard as the other two. I haven't built or bought the Heller Santa Maria kit, but I've looked at it - though not recently. We don't know much about Columbus's ships, but it's a safe assumption that two of them didn't have identical hull lines. I'm not sure, though, that I'd be comfortable displaying the two of them side-by-side, thereby making the identical hulls obvious. Since we know so little about the real ships, either one of the Heller kits, considered individually, looks pretty believable. The Nina and Pinta kits use the same hull, with different upper bulwark components to make the finished models look different from each other. I remember being pretty happy with the Pinta I built - after I dressed it up a bit with aftermarket deadeyes, crew figures, etc. The "wood grain" detail is indeed pretty coarse Heller in those early days wasn't trying to reproduce actual wood grain (with knots, etc.), but simply making scratches in the molds to keep the parts from looking smooth. These kits obviously can't be expected to come up to modern standards. I think the terms "fair" and "quite decent" are pretty accurate. I bought the Nina and Pinta, and built the latter, quite a long time ago - when Heller ship kits were being sold for the first time in the U.S., under the Minicraft label (the mid- to late sixties, I think). This is perfectly normal and as the engine cools, vacuum in the radiator should draw coolant back in from the overflow tank as the coolant hose should be full of coolant. What occurred was as the engine got up to temperature, expansion caused some coolant to be leave the radiator and flow into the overflow tank. It had us confused since we had just replaced the head gasket and water pump. Coolant in the radiator would be low, overflow tank was high. By the third ride, the bike would start misfiring, effectively, from overheating. Starting with a full radiator, the first two rides were always fine. He's my story with this this hose had a pin hole on my brother's Pegaso. When you take the cap off, make sure the rubber gasket is properly aligned and not blocking the vent and drain holes.Īs for a damaged coolant return hose (between the radiator cap and overflow tank), it can cause a hard-to-diagose issue easily confused with the common heat gasket failure or faulty radiator cap. The other 3 are simply decorative but leaving them out will not help vent as the threaded holes in the tank will not vent the fuel. You are correct, only the 3 longer screws secure the cap to the tank. Once sorted, I find our Pegasos thoroughly reliable. Makes sense to do every other year, I'd estimate. You've reminded me to recheck my tank vents during my winter maintenance. If the bike the runs excellent upon restarting, the tank vent is likely the culprit. Quickly stop and open the gas cap, allowing the fuel tank pressure to equalize. The easiest way to determine if the tank vent is your issue is to ride the bike until is starts to falter. This should leave a thin film of oil that should slow the return of any corrosion. Once both of these passages are free and open, I suggest running some light oil through these ports, blowing out the excess with compressed air again. ![]() Be sure to place a rag in the tank opening to prevent debris from entering you tank. Before doing so, i recommend you open or, better yet, remove the fuel cap assembly. Now that you have loosened up the corrosion with a drill bit, I suggest clearing out the vent and drain with compressed air (such as using a bicycle pump) injected in from the bottom nipples. Both of theses nipples are connected to curved piping internal to the tank and may be the reason you cannot run a wire through. The other is the drain/overflow for the cap recess. As you have noticed, one of the nipples is the tank vent. The corrosion blocking the tank vent is primarily in the aluminium nipples since they are raw, unfinished metal. I know some of you have done this and if there's a quick way I'm all ears. All opinions are welcome, especially from anyone who know what I am going through.Īlso if there's anyone with a rectifier for sale, original or CBR600.in case the clear vent doesn't work.I would be interested in it.again. so is there another way that doesn't involve the front end coming off again and tank removal etc.very sick of that now, too.? I spent 20 minutes twisting a small drill bit by hand ( fingers have the blisters to prove this.) up inside the vent nipple and I got a bit of chalky powder out but it still won't take a wire up or down through it. because the bike often stops in the middle of the road.I'm getting sick of this bit.I get the physics involved and I'm confident that clearing the solid, chalky stuff from the vent will restore my street cred and make me almost like my bike again.but. I am pretty sure this is holding back the fuel and causing me to look silly in the middle of roundabouts and corners. That tiny fuel vent inside the petrol cap.it's blocked at the bottom. ![]() Here's a simple one, or so you would think. ![]() The next could be for 55-gallon drums or a case. One order might be for 5 gallons of fuel. Rick Rose, the owner and CEO, says PSC ships to consumers, but also counts business-to-business and business-to-consumer clients as customers. The FTDI Basic connects through header pins and the Arduino connects through female header sockets, both soldered sideways to the top of the board. I used fancy screw-machine IC socket pins, just because I had some, but you could solder the isolators directly to the board. The layout puts the DIP isolators on the top and the SMD resistors on the bottom. The schematic is pretty simple: two bits in, two bits out. So this is a quick-and-dirty circuit to see if optical isolation will reduce the problem enough to be bearable. Having lockers in place can reduce the need for large mailrooms, with the space being put to better use. As the recent rise in the volume of packages being delivered to homes shows no signs of slowing down, mailrooms are at risk of being overwhelmed. Deliveries are made directly to the parcel locker by a shipping carrier agent, eliminating the need for intervention by a staff member – saving time and cutting operational costs. Not only do parcel lockers offer convenience for residents, but they also provide benefits for property managers – not least through relieving them of the burden of dealing with the fall-out from lost, stolen or damaged parcels. Instead, residents will receive a notification through the Spike Living app with a unique code to gain access to their parcel, at their convenience, giving them peace of mind that their package is secure.
